My hot take is that women are conditioned to believe that sex is done to them and don’t want to be seen as ‘promiscuous’ by wanting or speaking up about their actual pleasure points.
Women are conditioned to prioritize the men orgasms even culturally. It’s a badge of honor, you’d hear women boasting about it, yes you made him orgasms multiple times but did you even like the way he kissed you? Was the foreplay long enough? Were you satisfied?
As a woman prioritize your own orgasms today, speak up and take control of your own sex life today.
"Mockery of religion is one of the most essential things...one of the beginnings of the human emancipation is the ability to laugh at authority."
Christopher Hitchens
Shouting "Islam is a peaceful religion" every day does not make it true.
You rarely see followers of other religions going online daily to say "Christianity is a peaceful religion," "Buddhism is a peaceful religion," "Hinduism is a peaceful religion," "Taoism is a peaceful religion," "Zoroastrianism is a peaceful religion," or "Judaism is a peaceful religion."
It is always Muslims pushing this statement because they know, deep down, that it is not peaceful in reality.
This is precisely why Ricky Gervais's question (not really his question) was legitimate and Alex O'Connor's response was nonsensical. The most dominant religions of today are rabidly exclusivist, so when they argue against other gods, they're saying those gods do not exist, the same thing an atheist says about the monotheistic god.
Whenever you cannot decide, it is important to remember that it is often better to make a wrong choice, learn from it and move on than sit in the purgatory of analysis paralysis. That’s the real torture.
Your religion is largely an accident of birth.
You didn’t choose your culture or where you were born.
And if you had, chances are you’d believe something entirely different. Worth reflecting on.
