@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS I do wish they were more open about it though, I don't see how revealing the intricate details of how it went down would do anything but benefit how this looks currently, for instance, it could look like "we can't replicate a pro players gameplay so the ban remains"
@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS I agree with that definition too, although you can end up with "sometimes doing this" due to lag spikes or queued actions/netorking issues so I hope at least that if he was cheating they saw this consistently being done and not just the occasional spike, again nobody will know.
@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS Yeah sadly the intricate details will likely never be known, all I know is I can easily replicate this for more than 8 if I wanted to, try opening an online clicks per second test and try just spamming left click like 7 is easily reached on its own, so I guess there is more to it
@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS Not to say that jagex is necessarily in the wrong here, who knows? noone can because logs or evidence likely won't be provided, but there are historical events that show that they might not be entirely on point or scientific enough for how to investigate niche cases like these
@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS A textbook example of this was a multilogger being banned from the OSRS discord for streaming their 32 vyre accounts with the decision defended by "two accounts moved at the same time", which of course is such an impossible trait with 20 minute auto retaliate combat on 32 accs./s
@mjwinslade@DegencordOSRS Referring to the original comment about it not being possible to click on 8 accounts in 1 second, it totally is, enable mouse keys use num5 and also left click your mouse in parallel. Easy 10 cps, with the plugin this is then completely solvable, gotta assume there's more to it.
@JagexAyiza@Marni_OSRS Going to assume that it wasn't as clear cut as clicking 8 times per second in order to replicate it then? Essentially you do that by enabling mouse keys. Spam clicking your left click while simultaneously using numpad 5 as a click, you can reach 10 clicks per second with ease
@SoloQJokerr@Marni_OSRS@xeankekton@JagexAyiza@JagexPheasant Should be faster on a keyboard vs mouse I think, but yeah above 7 can be difficult to pull off. At least consistently 8 per second, so again depends on what the logs look like on their end
Although the video did not seem like 8 per second and also not same cursor location
@UnrealeOSRS@JagexAyiza The only way I can explain jagex' end of things is if they don't really look at the pixel position per click and purely at the clicks per tick, especially if you were clicking like in this clip, where almost no click is in the same position (which also is doable)
@Marni_OSRS@JagexAyiza@JagexPheasant Similarly rebinding mouse press to scroll wheel on an infinite scroll is likely also not allowed or would cause flags for macroing like that
@Marni_OSRS@JagexAyiza@JagexPheasant The only way I can see this being macroing is if the key you used to click with was a repeated keystroke causing inhuman clicks, spam clicking with some accuracy is fairly normal to be able to pull off at least like 7 times per second
@JagexAyiza@Marni_OSRS@JagexPheasant That being said, I typically avoid this method in its entirety in fear of false flags, I know other multiloggers of the past were banned for using the method, and since unbanned (antimen) but not used as extreme as in marni's example, I will be curious to see how this is enforced
@JagexAyiza@Marni_OSRS@JagexPheasant Not to say that their approach was necessarily within the rules, but it is physically possible with default windows features to click on more than 8 accounts per second in the same spot, not trying to be pedantic or anything. https://t.co/oPm3gFxpSp
@Marni_OSRS@xeankekton@JagexAyiza@JagexPheasant adding to this, I am hoping that these human inconsistencies are somewhat visible on jagex' end of things at least, like surely they can tell mid-tick timings of clicks and such, kind of exciting to see the outcome of this tbh
@Marni_OSRS@xeankekton@JagexAyiza@JagexPheasant But to be consistent, tick perfect and such, 8 accounts per tick and nothing else, is clearly detectable as scripting, if it was scripted, I have an example from another game where I use the legitimate method and how this looks in practice, you'd have inconsistencies 2/2
