Our excitement is through the roof!
Tomorrow marks the start of the 2023 high school track & field season! Best of luck to all athletes and coaches! 🏃🏾♀️❤️🏃🏼♂️
True outside of running as well. Everyone goes through life at a different pace. Encourage the back of the pack because they push themselves and the leaders forward.
Thank you @DutchXCTF for giving me this opportunity to continue my career. I may not have accomplished all my HS goals but I hope to grow & develop through this program. Thank you to everyone over the last 6 years for encouraging me to keep going! 7th grade me would be proud!
Today's meet is a long drive to Cedar Rapids Xavier. Goals for today is to hope the weather cooperates to see improvements in both the 3200&1600. Best of luck to the JV team in Eddyville tonight as well!
@SaraHackbarth Love this! One of our athletes is in his first season with us. He is also special needs. In XC, he stopped to walked constantly. Last night for track, he ran a 7:50 for the mile. It's moments like that which make me love every part of the sport even more.
Home meet today for both the girls and boys team today at Schafer. Not as warm as we were hoping but the wind should be lower today. Come out and support the bulldogs at the Don Newell Relays.
In life, sometimes you have to make choices. As a track athlete, that choice can be switching into another event when a teammate is unable to perform. This choice may make some else upset. But if you feel the choice is right, go for it. Remember, No Human Is Limited.
If someone has a “bad race”, y’all criticize. If someone has an amazing race, y’all say “they should have done better”. Seems like track and field athletes just can’t win. Keep the haters on mute. Stay the path, and stay healthy. It’s YOUR season!
Going up to Urbandale this afternoon for the Gary DouBrava Invite. There will be several fantastic teams tonight and we will show them what we've got! Go Dogs!
