At the airport, a @TurkishAirlines Airlines agent gently informed me that as a passenger, I have no rights unless I discover the #flightcancellation upon arrival.
When I asked multiple customer service representatives to share information about passenger rights, they all declined.
This left me wondering… is the right to basic information also being quietly set aside?
I’m sitting with this in meditation today and gently considering whether it’s time to consult someone who understands these laws more clearly.
Any fellow travelers or wise souls ever navigated this kind of situation with grace? I’d appreciate your calm reflections or possibly a #lawyer recommendation... @TK_HelpDesk
@SHGM This is in direct violation of Turkish Airlines’ own Passenger Rights document as well as SHY- Regulations (articles 9 and 11) I am still in awe…
@TurkishAirlines involuntarily cancelled my DIRECT flight, splitting me from the 10-person group I lead. The group is on LA8130. LATAM confirms 69 EMPTY SEATS (Pic 1). Yet TK sends a generic rejection (Pic 2), replacing a direct route with unacceptable options.

@SHGM Instead of keeping me with my group, TK's ultimatum forces me to accept a refund or replace a direct flight with a grueling 21+ hours in the air with minimal layover for recovery, or an 8-20 hour overnight layover with ZERO hotel accommodation offered.

First, it was due to the flight being a codeshare. All the options you offer me ARE codeshares. Now, I am told codeshares are not permitted. Get your story straight! @TurkishAirlines@TK_HelpDesk
