I've been a Mercy player since Overwatch released way back in 2016. She was the reason I fell in love with the game. I WAS a Mercy main, I'm not anymore. I haven't been able to enjoy playing her in a long time, with each season my play time on her has decreased. Last season I barely touched her. Mostly because of her state within the game, some of it also because of the toxicity and hate from the community enjoying her brings with it.

All this to say, I finally had hope and was really looking forward to being able to enjoy her and play her again and possibly rekindling some of the magic I felt playing OW1. It's just a little soul crushing to realize that's not going to be the case. We were sold a 'rework' that would bring her back into relevancy, it was hyped up like a positive change, and what we got feels like a slap to the face. We thought the devs were listening to us and hearing our frustrations, but now it doesn't feel like they did at all. I'm tired of being sold beautiful skins for a hero I can't even enjoy playing.
