Growing is about reflecting on experiences. Reflection should be a consistent practice. There is the room to be better. Grow. Be better. Make more money. Reach a larger market. Impact a bigger audience. But first, learn from the past. Reflect.
Thank you, Tunde. I truly appreciate the kind words.
The truth is, Nigeria needs many more people solving problems from different angles. You are transforming lives through Chess in Slums. We’re working to transform lives through education. Neither mission competes with the other.
We may not always agree with everyone, but our energy is better spent building than fighting.
If more Nigerians chose to create instead of merely criticize, our country would move much faster.
Let’s keep building. The children are watching.
There are two ways to be in this world, one is to be like Alex who has given his life and resource to empowering children and making their greatness known to the world. I met him once and he’s a truly remarkable guy. I have supported in a small capacity and encouraged others to do the same.
The second way is to be a moron like this guy who posits himself as a faux intellectual whose only claim to relevance is making snide comments like this one and forever hoping someone important notices.
One of these people is doing meaningful work and changing lives, the other doesn’t matter.
Be like Alex.
Is there actually anyone using 2,500 data in a month? That is 4.5 GB monthly at an average of 150MB per day.
35k per month do the same KM at what cost? Boarding unmarked/random cars? Trekking? My point is, even when people choose to not have a coat, they are still struggling with the most minimal/basic stuff. Really sad.
@tumajay@Oluomoofderby Just do that through any bank. If you have a GTBANK Dom account, you can do your direct transfer from the GT World app, and in less than 36 business hours, it will get credited in your Monzo account.
@gabi_wall6@kenkenlewu Lol. Social media is really a leveller. Even in SE London, there are two beds that don't cost 1,200 . And Manchester is cheaper than London. I don't trade words with people who have nothing to lose. The point is, there is either an Agenda or she is not spending smartly.
@olajumokeokenla Spot on! Returns, Refund, Warranty Claims and Services are ideals that need to be STRUCTURALLY brought to life in our beloved country, Nigeria.
@wastechk@jayhemz People like you are the reason we need to teach civilisation. We aren't in the stone age. Is this how you relate with your family when you disagree with them, faceless human?
And when you find them, they also need to be convinced that you value their presence. I.e., "Ultimate skill" would matter more to a starter than a sun-setter. You must know what makes sense to your disrupters and ground breakers, and they should be convinced that you are working towards those things. This is not always about more money. Many visionaries don't know what success means to the best brains on their team.
2008, as an IT Systems Integrator working ~3 hours extra day willingly (going above and beyond), travelling every week, I wanted skills. I showed up each day with passion and grit because it exposed me gainfully. Almost 18 years later, will my ultimate reward in my core functions now be leadership skills? I only used this as an example. It requires a great deal of work to retain vision owners as much as it takes to find them.
