Matt Donohue, the VAR official for the Manchester Derby, is from greater Manchester.

This is the level of referee they gave to the Derby on VAR. A championship referee.

He only referee’d three Premier League games in the entirety of last season.

We are asking a player who has 300 G/A in the last 7 seasons playing as a #10 to play as the deepest midfielder collecting balls from the GK with his back to goal and playing bounce passes to the WCB and are sat on our arse saying that the player is at fault here.

Nothing left to say, to be honest. All the problems with the manager, players and the decision makers were on show today for all to see. I don’t see it getting better simply because of the stubbornness and reluctance to tweak ANYTHING from game to game. Worst it’s ever been.

@akinfresi @DieHardUtdFans No. We’re talking about a GK that has conceded 21 goals in 12 games, including four errors directly leading to goals. He flapped his arms in the same manner against Spurs last season.

Bang average would be complimentary. There’s no defending him.

Couldn’t make it into work this morning because both your 08:02 and 08:32 services from WLT to LBG were only four carriages. Not only were dozens of people stranded, but it’s fundamentally unsafe given the reliance on trains (people squeezing on, stampedes, etc).
