In August we welcomed a young boy from Ukraine. On Saturday he played in goal for SMFC, saved a penalty and was mobbed by his team mates in a spontaneous outburst of joy and empathy. Hopefully, in the not too distant future, he will carry this memory back to a pitch in Ukraine 🇺🇦
No one should or can be happy about the political & economic turmoil in the UK. There are so many reasons today we must find stability and cooperate, across Europe. Not all of these difficulties are due to Brexit, I am simply convinced that Brexit makes everything more difficult.
Question here is why it has all disintegrated. 2 answers: 1)the Tory party is now unleadable & collectively mad;2)out in the real world, there is nothing to show after 12 years besides decay & harm (Thatcherism had winners). And the centrality of Brexit to the story is now clear
