@HopelessFanASM@kalyanchaubey Even that aside. Having both national anthem & song before game is such forced nationalism.
Just have national anthem, & start the game.
"No one can predict exactly when a situation may escalate into war."
We never know when ANY Middle-east conflict could escalate.
Might as well forget AFC altogether.
There's NO excuse for acting like a coward when the opportunity arose.
Ban is totally justified.

Mohun Bagan Super Giantโs decision regarding Iran was never anti-football; it was about player safety and human life. Reports suggest that the players themselves had serious concerns about traveling as the regional situation deteriorated after mid-September.
A similar situation arose in 2024, when security concerns escalated around match time and events on the ground justified the caution shown. In 2025, the decision was taken days before travel, while the larger conflict erupted months later. No club, player, or administration can predict exactly when a situation may escalate into war.
Football is important, but the safety of players, staff, Indian citizens, foreign players, and all individuals associated with the club must always come first. Mohun Bagan has consistently represented Indian football with pride in Asia and has never acted against the interests of the game.
We appeal to the AIFF and the Government of India to stand by the club and request the AFC to reconsider and revoke the ban. A club can recover from sporting losses, but no competition is greater than human life and safety.

@VishalS92212876@RDhull64930@indiantransfer It's a BS decision. Hardly any clubs plan long term.
All that'll happen is clubs will register wingers as strikers & make them move to the wings during the gameplay, acting as feeders to foreign strikers.
There's nothing AIFF can do about that.
@indiantransfer There should be. It's a dumb move. What's worse is that OCI slot comes at the cost of an OS player slot, whereas it should've been an Indian getting replaced.
@ssnemani@rohini_mohan "if" we invest on grassroots.
Anyone who's followed Indian Football knows that ain't happening in a 100 yrs.
Talent produced > Should head outside India to improve > XYZ rich Indian club offers crores > (obviously) takes it > Talent rots in ISL > Ends up benched > Cycle Repeats
For once, I want to see AIFF, FFB, BFF, FFS or whatever the name is, I want to see them do something substantial. Anything real that actually improves the sport.
Something other than this performative BS that ultimately means nothing.
Too much to ask I guess.

And after all this, ya'll so called football geniuses think to further decrease number of foreigners to slot in more expensive OCI's?
Tf is wrong with ya'll?
"ISL and IFL clubs may field a starting eleven comprising three foreign players and one OCI player. Additionally, to ensure adequate match exposure and development opportunities for Indian forwards, one Indian striker must remain on the field for 90 minutes."
#IndianFootball
Reducing the number of foreigners FURTHER inflates Indian player market as we don't have any quality grassroots to produce, nor are the stakeholders making money to invest in it.!
And we're also seeing the results of the same!
