@AuthorGoodwin Yes and no.
To use Shakespeare as an example, neither Iago nor Richard III are who the audience is rooting for. But they have a certain charm to them. They're fascinating. They're intelligent. They're charismatic. So in a sense, they're still *likeable*. Even if not *relatable*
@JackiThrapp@coreymach Yes, with a clear strategy given to them by the producers. Actors are not PR strategists. Actors are not marketers. Actors are not and should not be responsible for figuring out the best way to get their existing audience to come and see any show.

The Bleeding Obvious - whilst it might sound violent from the name - turns out to be a fantastically comfy and gentle easing into a genderqueer woman's world.
Tightly produced and relentlessly upbeat, we both left grinning. It's only on for one more night, though!
@The_Gay_Train Thanks so much gang - we really appreciate it! Right back atcha, reviewers get on the Gay Train! Beautiful and funny - a rallying cry for trans voices to be heard and understood. 💖
If our friends at @wwwtheaterco can't get a big reviewer in, then I don't know who can. The writing and performances are incredibly slick, raw, and a number of other risque adjectives.
The only problem is that it's truly a fringe show: Small, stripped back, and needing support.
The audience reviews are in!
The Gay Train has:

I saw @The_Gay_Train tonight at #EdFringe - absolutely blown away, a fantastic piece of writing and very well put together. This should be on your list esp if you're within the gender-nonconforming community 🏳️⚧️ Top marks.
So proud to be featured in this guide along with so many other amazing queer performers and artists.
Feels like we need a hashtag to keep track of it all though? #QueerFringe?
