#WritingCommunity when you have more interest in writing a scene other than the one you're on, do you write off the scene you're on with the thought it must not be interesting enough for the book or do you write the scene of interest and return the other later? 🤔

Sometimes my written characters take on a life of their own, and sometimes I spend an hour arguing with them.

Sometimes, I win the argument by threatening to rewrite them all as ferrets.

Nobody respects a sword-wielding ferret.

Then the MC sets bounds it becomes apparent that the friend was right. Because, though the plot is based on their relationship, it's an important mix of lessons I feel more girls need.

Something I love about book 2 is the goal for readers to fall for the "cute bad guy" until the MC vents about not being sure they feel the same way to a friend that blatantly explains 1. That his actions are creepy - not romantic and...
