China’s high speed trains travel at around 350 km/h while passengers work, have coffee or sleep as if they were on a regular commute.
The scale behind that experience is remarkable. China’s high speed rail network now extends beyond 50,000 km, supported by an immense system of tracks, bridges, tunnels, signalling, power infrastructure and continuous maintenance.
The next generation CR450 is being developed for commercial speeds of around 400 km/h, which will demand advances in aerodynamics, braking, energy efficiency and passenger comfort.
For me, this is where innovation becomes truly interesting. Progress is not only about achieving a higher speed or a bigger number. It is about turning complex technology into something reliable enough to become part of everyday life.
The future stops feeling futuristic when people can use it without having to think about the technology behind it.

@itxMaggei So if the question is:
“How many people are still in the room?”
👉 52 people are still in the room, assuming nobody leaves.
If they mean “How many people are still alive in the room?” → 22.
The trick is that “killed” doesn’t mean “removed from the room.” 😏
@itxMaggei * You = 1
* People in the room = 50
* Killer = 1
* Total = 52
* Killer kills = 30
* Those 30 are dead, but still in the room
* Remaining alive = 22 (you + 20 people + killer)
📽️ The 211-shot rally that broke the internet! 🍿 🏸
🇲🇾 At the Malaysia Masters in 2023, home favourites Thinaah Muralitharan and Pearly Tan were up against Japan's Rena Miyaura and Ayako Sakuramoto in a gruelling round-of-16 clash.
The match was tantalisingly poised in the decider. With the Malaysians leading 16-14, Pearly Tan hit the serve but little she would have known that the winning shot that she needed to hit would arrive more than THREE MINUTES LATER. A delightful, signature drop shot, of course.
The 211-shot exchange went viral, naturally. One of the most incredible badminton moments that year.
Women's doubles will surely witness many such – literally - breathtaking rallies at the World Championships in New Delhi 🫡
