@RMGBuckeye4Life@JorshP@Dan_Hope Ps - people don’t realize how unrealistic it is to even think about renovating St. John. The last time we played there I took this picture. I think this helps put things in perspective.
Fun fact, this is where they told the film guys to set up 🤣
@RMGBuckeye4Life@JorshP@Dan_Hope This isn’t directed at you specifically because everyone does it, but I always get a kick out of the fact that the biggest defenders of St. John Arena are often the ones who accidentally call it “St. John’s”
@OSUHoopsInsider@Allohiohoopsco1 Kind of crazy that he’s had a pipeline of coaching his own kids for 10+ years. One of the best coaches in all of Ohio. His teams defend their ass off and it’s gross and beautiful at the same time.
UNC Basketball with all their money paying $37k-50 is absolutely disgusting. Especially for a role someone is going to have no life outside of the job.
@istrakhov I think you’re being a little too absolute here. They haven’t cared enough yet to make this a requirement. But major sports rights holders absolutely can set technical standards. FIFA did this with the 2010 World Cup.
At some point, someone has to push the envelope.
ABC broadcasting the NBA Finals in 720p in 2026 is ridiculous.
Not 4K. Not even 1080p, but 720p… the same standard they’ve used since 2003. They haven’t upgraded it because we keep tolerating it.
If I was put on this earth to lead one revolution, it would be this one.
@istrakhov I agree with the general point you are making. I just think that when it comes to retaining NFL broadcast rights, the NFL could slip in mandated 4K and the networks are still going to bite. It’s not like this will reduce viewership - it’s just pushing a better product
@istrakhov It’s network greed & collusion! I honestly don’t know how it gets fixed. The only realistic path forward I can think of is to put it as a requirement in some of the upcoming broadcasting rights agreements.
@DylanEveryday Example of why I think the GM model eventually shifts to pro sport structure. Where GMs aren’t truly under the head coach and almost act as the AD over a program reducing HC decision making so they can focus on the current team/season. Trust someone else for big picture
@JorshP@DegenerateTBone I would also never read too much into the plentiful “Ohio State has called on ‘Insert name’ ” post
Film analysis takes time, it often makes sense to call first and feel out a situation. No point in doing a thorough film evaluation if they aren’t interested.
Again, speed dating
@SadOSUhoopsFan@Juicewag@MDSmalls23 Respectfully, idk, maybe we just don’t see eye to eye here. IMO, Just because someone follows you, doesn’t mean you can’t share your honest opinions. Maybe your point is more geared towards how it’s ‘framed’
@SadOSUhoopsFan@Juicewag@MDSmalls23 He can say whatever he wants. Theres no restrictions just because players follow him. If he just wants to curate his post in the hopes that players drop info thats just a choice.
