Look, I don’t have a dog in the fight. I promise I’m being 100% objective here…
I would make fun of my favorite players on my own team for this so I’m not being an OKC hater AT ALL (I even picked them to win the series, and the Larry again) when I say that this sort of behavior is absolutely despicable.
I have LESS THAN ZERO respect for guys who do this stuff, don’t care what the team is. It makes a mockery of the game, and if I was commissioner, I’d be handing out suspensions for it…even retroactively via league office tape reviews.
Before anyone jumps in with a “whataboutism” regarding Spurs players… again, I’m being objective. If they do it then my opinion remains the same, and yes, Wemby should have received a suspension for his elbow.
There is NO WAY you can defend this kind of behavior, and if it was Paolo and Franz out there doing this you wouldn’t catch me defending them either.
Joe Mazzulla to @BobbyKrivitsky on why he tells Jayson Tatum he loves him in heated moments:
"Just maintaining a level of perspective at the end of the day. You have to. We're all on a journey together, however long that lasts, one game, a week, month, a couple years. I can't take that for granted,"
#celtics #NBA
“He saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself… I used to be in the mail room and he’d just walk in and say, ‘You belong’ and walk out.”
Derrick White on Gregg Popovich
Awesome the effect a coach can have by verbalizing belief

Jayson Tatum on his favorite thing Joe Mazzulla has said:
(via @GQSports)
— "He always tells me that he loves me... It'll be the third quarter of a playoff game and he'll just say 'Just want you to know I love you, man.'"
