Our Aquaponics Center is coming along! Yesterday we finished insulating the roof and the last of the materials were delivered. This weekend we will begin installing the aquaponics system. Exciting times for our community, stay tuned and join the initiative!

Meet Dylan Nottingham, our Director of Fishing Donations! He saw in fishing tournaments the prevalence of irresponsible fishing, and he joined us to help fix this issue. He's run 20 tournaments in South Florida and has provided 1,500+ meals. Your hard work is appreciated, Dylan!
Meet Blake Birkins, our Boca Raton Program Director! In his words: "I joined MEI to further my passion for marine life and instill that same passion in my students. I look forward to virtually teaching my students on how to properly preserve our oceans and wildlife this year!"
Meet Frank Cai, our final Board member! He works for a large management consulting firm that specializes in healthcare clientele. Growing up near Cape Cod and spending time at many beautiful beaches on the east coast, Frank is passionate for preserving natural marine ecosystems.
Meet Adam Gabay, another member of our Board! He oversees strategy at Lev Investments, a Los Angeles-based boutique real estate investment, development, and design firm. Adam is also a helicopter pilot and high altitude backpacker. Check out our website to learn more about him!

Meet Mathew Pursel, a member of the MEI board! Matthew is currently the Dean of Students at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, FL. His passion for fishing and helping others along with his belief in the purpose of the charity drew him to our organization.
Jimmy Staten, a Director of Fish Donations, leaves for college today! In his words, Jimmy "joined [MEI] to help feed the less fortunate in [his] community" and loves to see firsthand the happiness our fish donations bring. Thank you, Jimmy, we wish you best in college!
Meet Valentine Thomas, a member of our Board. She is not only a professional freediver and spearfisherwoman, but also a published author, TV Host, speaker, and accomplished chef. She is an advocate of sustainable eating and has helped change policies on commercial fisheries.
