Two lessons from Trump's actions in Venezuela.

1. With respect to Latin America, the United States of America has not changed, it is the same US of 1926 - that fought "banana wars" and crudely imposed its will on its weaker neighbours.

2. With respect to the United States America, Latin America has not changed. Over the past 100 years, they haven't done any thing serious about the power asymmetry with Washington. So they are set to suffer the same fate they suffered 100 years ago.
