The clip of Governor Abbot of Texas promising to shut down Sharia courts with State police, county sheriffs, prosecutors, and the Texas Attorney General has gone viral again, and since that clip originated, Governor Abbott has gone on to endorse the Jewish legal system, Halakha, and promote the exact same thing for Jews, he forbids for Muslims and Christians. You know very well Christians would not be able to set up a separate, competing court system in Texas. And yet, as people rightly complain about Sharia, Jewish courts that operate exactly the same way with startlingly similar religious rules, are booming.

Consider the Beth Din of America, an established rabbinical court founded in 1960. It openly handles commercial, communal, and family disputes according to Jewish law. Its arbitration procedures are designed to produce decisions enforceable in American courts. The same exists in Chicago. And California. And plenty of other places.

Heck, Jewish communities, like in Lakewood, NJ and Surfside, FL, have their own police forces - paid for by public tax dollars - run by Jews, with Jews, for Jews. They take Goyim taxes and, in Lakewood for example, fund more than a dozen patrol cars and officers who are at the beck and call of the Jewish city council, and repeatedly harass Goyim visitors, on video. Are there Muslim secret police in America? If so, they should be deported with the Jewish ones.

Islamic Courts, as horrible an idea as it is, want oversight over Muslims. The Jewish courts want oversight over you, and get your politicians to rubber-stamp their legal systems and impose them upon Americans through Noahide legislation. The Noahide system, by the way, is managed with Jewish clerics, just like Iran’s civil court is run by Islamic ones, and would put most Christians in America on death row.

When Ron DeSantis signed legislation to install a “moment of silence” at the beginning of the school day, he signed it at a synagogue, surrounded by Rabbis. Why? It was a Chabad initiative, not a Christian one. When Governor Saxon signed legislation this year, honouring the Chabad Messiah buried in Queens, he did so surrounded by Rabbis. It’s not just reality. It’s a metaphor for who really controls our country. And right now, Jews are getting what Christian Nationalists would be condemned for.

But Abbot isn’t alone. Republican governors across the United States are signing on to bless Jewish Sharia-style courts, and they’re coming to a neighborhood near you.

Sharia and Halakha both contain rules governing conduct far beyond the walls of a house of worship. Both are spreading over the U.S., should be shut down, and if possible, legally razed with a bulldozer. And yet, only one is endorsed by Republicans.

Most Americans who call themselves Irish aren’t talking about the same thing as the famine Irish of Boston and New York.

A huge number are really Scots-Irish — English and Scottish border stock, Protestant frontier people whose ancestors came out of the borderlands, were planted in Ulster, then pushed into Appalachia, Tennessee, Kentucky and the South.

Not Dublin. Not Cork. Not the tenements. A harder, older story of border clans, rifles, honour, feuds, distrust of authority and life on the edge of empire.

The green beer version of Irish-American identity hides a lot. For millions, the real roots are English, Scottish, Ulster, frontier, Presbyterian, hill country and rebellion.
