Don’t know about Rang De Basanti, but let me tell you what some of us millennials actually grew up watching.

I was in primary school during the 1993 Mumbai bombings -- too young to even understand what terrorism meant. But I distinctly remember my mom repeatedly warning me not to pick up anything lying around while playing outside because, you know, it could be a bomb.

That was childhood.

Then came the seemingly endless procession of attacks: the 1993 Mumbai blasts, Red Fort in 2000, Parliament in 2001, the Mumbai bus bombings and Akshardham in 2002, three separate blasts within eight months in Mumbai in 2003, the 2005 Delhi blasts, the 2007 Hyderabad bombings, and the 2008 Bangalore and Ahmedabad blasts.

In July 2006, I was supposed to be on one of the trains that was bombed near Mahim. I stayed back at the office because of a meeting. A completely mundane change of plans is probably the reason I’m alive to type this instead of being a name on a list of the dead.

I remember that evening far better than I remember any stupid movie. Our office went into lockdown. Phones were jammed. People were crying and frantically trying to reach their families. Nobody knew what was happening, whether there were more bombs, or whether someone they loved was lying dead inside a mangled train compartment.

Two years later came 26/11.

I had the misfortune of watching uncensored footage of the aftermath. One clip showed bodies being piled and stacked inside a makeshift room at CST while someone wheeled in another load on a bloodied wheelbarrow, with blood dripping onto the floor. The sanitised footage shown on television didn't come remotely close to what actually happened inside that station.

So yes, us millennials lived through an era where we went to work knowing that the crime of simply boarding the wrong train, getting on the wrong bus, eating at the wrong restaurant, or standing on the wrong street at the wrong fucking moment could get you blown to pieces or riddled with bullets.

Some of us literally went to work wondering, somewhere at the back of our minds, whether this would be the commute we wouldn't come home from.

So please, spare us millennials this sanctimonious horseshit about Rang De Basanti and what some Bollywood movie supposedly should have taught us about how to vote.

Just now in the presence of Union Ministers Sh. JP Nadda, Dr. Jitendra Singh and the senior leaders of Apex Body of Leh Ladakh I finally broke my fast after 26 days. Earlier 65 members of parliament from different political parties had visited or signed letters urging me to break the fast. What began as a protest over students' concerns has been systematically hijacked by divisive forces with a larger political agenda.

The narrative rapidly shifted, from demanding accountability in education to raising anti-national slogans; from seeking action against the Education Minister to demanding the restoration of Article 370, from discussing examination issues to insulting Lord Rama and mocking Hindu faith; from speaking for students to targeting the Brahmin community with hateful rhetoric, from claiming to defend constitutional values to allegedly insulting Bharat Mata. What was projected as a peaceful democratic movement eventually witnessed violence, including incidents of stone pelting, exposing how easily genuine public concerns can be hijacked by divisive elements.

However, we must also honestly acknowledge a deeper concern that lies beneath the NEET protests. The frustration among young people is not driven by examinations alone. It is driven by unemployment and insecurity about the future.

Despite global wars, geopolitical uncertainties, supply-chain disruptions, inflationary pressures, and tariff challenges, India has maintained fiscal discipline, expanded infrastructure at an unprecedented scale, strengthened investor confidence, and emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing major economies. These reforms are attracting investments that create long-term employment opportunities.

The National Education Policy is not merely an education reform; it is a civilisational correction. For decades, our education system largely continued the colonial Macaulay framework that rewarded rote memorisation over creativity, degrees over skills, and clerical thinking over innovation. NEP seeks to transform that mindset by promoting multidisciplinary learning, critical thinking, scientific temper, Indian knowledge systems, multilingual education, research, entrepreneurship, technology, and global competitiveness.

A nation aspiring to become a global leader cannot continue with an education model designed centuries ago to produce clerks.

India's democracy welcomes debate, dissent, and peaceful protest. But there is no place for violence, vandalism, religious insults, or slogans that challenge the sovereignty and integrity of our nation.

Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri @narendramodi ji, the NDA Government has consistently demonstrated its willingness to engage in dialogue and address genuine public concerns through democratic means. In that spirit, Hon'ble Union Minister Sri @JPNadda ji held discussions with representatives of the protesting groups yesterday. However, instead of allowing constructive engagement to prevail, divisive elements allegedly sought to derail the process by instigating unrest. What could have remained a peaceful democratic movement reportedly descended into chaos, with attacks on security personnel, stone pelting, and disruption of public order, raising serious questions about whether the objective was dialogue or deliberate destabilisation.

As Sumati Satakam reminds us, even the mightiest serpent can be brought down by seemingly insignificant creatures acting together. Likewise, countless individuals driven by narrow, divisive thinking can collectively create enormous damage if left unchecked.

This is exactly how anti-India narratives are manufactured, not through genuine public causes, but by infiltrating legitimate issues, provoking unrest, spreading hatred, and dividing society.

Every citizen has a responsibility to recognise the difference between a genuine public movement and one that has been hijacked to serve anti-national and divisive interests. We must stand united against every attempt to fracture our nation, no matter how small such forces may initially appear - @PawanKalyan

While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.

Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.

I have always believed in hard work, equality and excellence & that should never be compromised. I also believe in our democracy, law and order & our government, therefore I sincerely hope that both sides enter into meaningful & constructive dialogue & weed out any nefarious elements & agendas out of this protest & conversation , so the future is bright for our youth and for our democracy ! 🇮🇳 Jai Hind !

China or CJP - Who’s Trying To Pull India Back? Arnab Joins The Dots

Arnab Goswami exposes the real motive behind Abhijeet Dipke’s CJP protest that turned into a violent riot at Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas in Delhi. What was projected as a student-led agitation is actually a carefully staged event backed by foreign-funded elements and deep state actors. Despite repeated appeals by Delhi Police to maintain peace, the so-called protesters attacked police and RAF personnel with stones, injured over 118 officers, and vandalised government vehicles.

Arnab reveals how Dipke’s CJP is being used as a tool to create chaos near Parliament and destabilise law and order.

The real motive, according to Arnab, is not genuine grievance but a larger conspiracy to embarrass the government and push a Western-backed narrative against India’s sovereignty. Multiple FIRs, including serious charges of conspiracy and attack on security forces, confirm the pre-planned nature of the violence. Abhijeet Dipke’s staged protest has now been unmasked as a dangerous riot rather than a peaceful demonstration, with clear evidence of stone-pelting and anti-national slogans targeting the Prime Minister.

Indian telecom Reliance is sabotaging access to Telegram for millions of users OUTSIDE India (including the UAE) via a rogue method called BGP hijacking.

The sabotage seems intentional, as Reliance has ignored multiple reports.

This may be part of a competitive war, as Reliance is partially owned by Meta — the company behind WhatsApp.

Network operators are advised to reject unauthorized BGP announcements from Reliance (AS18101) to prevent route hijacks and ensure stable Internet access for their users.

Such abuse of global Internet routing is alarming. I wouldn’t be surprised if Reliance/WhatsApp were also behind the recent lobbying effort to ban Telegram in India.
