@nqbrian_@ReshadRahman When did I "act like he did bad as a loan player"? What does the answer I gave have to do with Rashford's ability or performance on loan? Also wages can't easily be reduced in laliga or we'd have been able to keep Messi... We have ZERO obligation to sign him despite his G/A
@nqbrian_@ReshadRahman Lol... We've had Luuk De Jong and Aubameyang come on loan for us, score lots of goals and assists and are remembered fondly by the fans, but we couldn't keep them... We have Ferran who we slander everyday despite his g/a, what makes you think Rashford is special?
Let me tell you why Barca is not keeping Rashford.
It has to do with three things: Rashford, his contract terms, and fake news media.
In January, Barcelona agreed to sign Rashford permanently, subject to discussions with Manchester United, because he performed impressively statistically when Raphinha got injured. About a week after that, Rashford suffered a knee injury and was out for three weeks. After he returned from injury, he had poor displays and was out of form. During that time, Raphinha came back from his injury and started performing so well again. At that point, Barcelona became cautious about their agreement to buy him permanently because of his inconsistency in form.
Logically, it makes no sense to buy a 29-year-old player with no resale value and astronomical wages just to be a backup. They noticed Rashford is just a bench option and doesn't have the capacity to compete with Raphinha.
The nail in the coffin was his performance against Atlético Madrid, where he missed so many chances. That was when everyone, including Hansi, made the decision not to buy him. But they didn't inform Rashford of this decision and kept it to themselves so that it wouldn't affect the morale of the dressing room while still fighting for the league.
During the last four matches in the league, Rashford performed very well—scored against Getafe, assisted against Osasuna, and scored a wonderful free kick against Real Madrid. Immediately after El Clásico, Rashford's agent started a paid media campaign claiming that Hansi Flick had given approval for his signing (A LIE!).
They used major Catalan journalists to put out narratives that Barca would sign him. Hansi and Deco, seeing his agent's tactics, decided to sign Anthony Gordon without any media knowing about it until the deal was done. They signed Gordon as a message to Rashford that they will not sign him, no matter what.
Rashford's problem is not talent, but attitude. He has stats to make a claim for himself to stay, but he doesn't fit into Hansi Flick's style of play, which requires aggressive pressing from attackers. I love Rashford as a person, but we have to be honest—he doesn't fit Barca's style. I wish him the best of luck.
@franc_bube@JfaJfa353183@Notyeezus__ Obviously, we've got poor defenders occupying wagespace for some reason... Christensen and Araujo shouldn't still be here, Kounde has been good till this season so he should get the benefit of doubt, Balde however should be benched till he improves his game and mentality
@franc_bube@JfaJfa353183@Notyeezus__ Balde- stagnant
Araujo-retarded
Chris-Injuries
Kounde-😭
Eric-None
Cubarsí-"Highline"
Notice how none of the others have highline as an excuse for some poor performance, everyone other than Cubarsí... Like you said, he's too young to lead the backline which is the problem...
