@CyclingWerewolf@faustocoppi60 Attacking is racing. Crash that creates a split in peloton 200+km from finish is not racing it's trying to be opportunistic in a very cheap way.
@CyclingWerewolf I think there's just no other option when the top favorite has such a strong team as well. Sivakov/Cosnefroy/Wellens they can surely all survive until Redoute, that's their finish line.
@CyclingWerewolf Different approach was actually tried in E3, Dwars and Wevelgem, let the favs go away (treat them as breakaway) and try to reel them in. But that doesn't work in hard races like De Ronde or LBL. Your doms are long gone when Pogi goes.
@CyclingWerewolf You saw it already at De Ronde. No one could get away from the peloton and that was the race that always had 2nd/3rd tier guys in the moves on the long lap before 2nd Oude Kwaremont. UAE/Pogi just know how to race these races
@CyclingWerewolf Because this is a team sport and UAE will pace it throughout the race at exactly the pace you can't attack at. Race of attrition actually goes right into Pogi's arms. And then when it comes down to his attack everyone else is already at the limit.
