Today I learned: @EKWaterBlocks-Nucleus design is not compatible with @GlobalLianli SL120 fans. Received the new cooler as an RMA of my EL AIO 360 D-RGB leaking. Not sure what to do now… really don’t want to have to NOT use my SL120s… (1/?)
Follow up. Here is an attempt on one of the older fans. I’m confident I can replicate and then try and smooth it all out a bit. Good news is… this side is what will be hidden.
Final update. Modified the newer fan. PC up and running with amazing temps. Doing a Blender run and at 100% load it’s starting to normalize in the mid 60s
An option is to shave/mod the fans with the locking nubs sticking out. Thankfully my fans were part of the recall batch so I have old extras to try it with first to figure out the method… but still. It’s either that option or hope EK will just do a straight return (2/?)
@GamersNexus | Have anyone claiming their EK AIO from 2020~ has started leaking? Almost lost my GPU and maybe more today. Caught it right after booting up and hearing a rattle. Know you covered something similar with a different brand. Figured worth mentioning.
