Damn!!! The iconic Monomatapa Hotel is up for sale? Is this true ?

We had some great times at Mono's as we used to call it back in the day!

Memories were made at its Pool Deck,Wine Barrel ,12000 Horsemen and of course the shortlived power club,Bali Hai!

I pray whoever buys this iconic and landmark hotel improves the service and returns the hotel's warm,welcoming ambience we had become accustomed to back in the the 1980s!

I looked at the most recent financial results to see if the empty stores were a temporary glitch, as OK says, or if Zimbabwe’s biggest retailer is in danger of complete collapse.

To be fair on OK Zimbabwe — I have generally found their disclosures quite helpful in reading the business.

For example, last year I wrote a on how how their financial results were potentially confusing.

In their next results presentation they added commentary on the topic to clear things up.

I looked at their last results and it seems they were actually better than before with some signs of improvement (albeit from a very bad situation).

I will do another deep dive but I definitely wouldn't conclude anything based on the images online.
