@supernovastar Prime Leno is wishful thinking man. Unfortunately, I think Martinez has shot himself in the foot here. The bullet may not have reached the foot but like Flekken's reaction time, it'll get there.

That is such a risky decision. Even if you're planning with him, openly committing to him so strongly has such high risk of being the domino that tumbles it all for Carles - given how likely it is that we've not seen the last of Flekken's poor shot-stopping.

@supernovastar I have faith in Martinez, he seems to be clear about his opinions. But I'll be a lot more confident if he actually does it. Super Mark has kept his starting XI spot despite nothing to show in the name of performance till now. JB could be playing like prime Neuer and we'd start MF

@haybo79967 @B04_Sem By that logic for any goal we straight up blame the player who lost the ball and just not have a goalkepeer (TBH same thing as having Flekken in goal).
Just because the turn of possession wasnt on him doesnt mean he can get away with whatever he did (definitely not goalkeeping)

@mne_nikola @supernovastar Separate issue. Doesnt mean Flekken is good. He should play midfield if repeateadly the only defense for his performances is "he's better with his feet".

@ouiouidiaby Schick's numbers hide it so well - he is our best poacher when we create chances for fun, but its like 10v11 with him playing other than that.
Fit Boni > Kofi > Schick >= Semi-fit Boni

- Schick absolutely non-existent but he poaches a goal again. Can we please get Boni fit 😭
- Super Mark Flekken deserves a super spot on the bench, from which he mustn't get up

How is Super Mark Flekken a paid professional goalkeeper. It would be believable as a midfielder, he's good as long as the gloves are not involved. How can he spill that simple of a shot? It may not have been a goal today, but we are sitting on a ticking time bomb there.

@supernovastar Agreed. I'm so done with him. I'm okay with JB making the odd mistake with his feet here and there instead of "Super Mark Flekken". Its super how he cant keep anything out

I'm sorry, I don't think I'll ever be on board with Flekken as our #1. He's good with his feet, sure. Its not even about this goal or the outcome of this game, he just doesnt inspire confidence as a GK.
