▫️Pillars of Islam▫️

📃 The types of worship which are performed physically and verbally are called the Pillars of Islam. They are the foundations upon which the Religion is built and by which a person is regarded a Muslim. These pillars are as follows:

1. Declaration of Faith: The "Declaration of Faith" is the statement, "La ilaha illa Allah wa Muhammad Rasul-ullah", meaning "There is no deity worthy of being worship except God (#Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God". This testimony of faith is called the Shahada, a simple formula which should be said with conviction in order to convert to Islam.

2. #Prayer Salah : Muslims perform five prayers a day. Each prayer does not take more than a few minutes to perform. Prayer in Islam is a direct link between the worshipper and God. There are no intermediaries between #God and the worshipper.
In prayer, a person feels inner happiness, peace, and comfort, and that God is pleased with him or her.

3. Zakah: A type of charity. Muslims recognize that all wealth is a blessing from God, and certain responsibilities are required in return. In Islam, it is the duty of the wealthy to help the poor and needy.

4. Fast of #Ramadan: Once each year, Muslims are commanded to fast for an entire month from dawn to sunset. The period of intense spiritual devotion is known as the fast of Ramadan in which no food, drink and sex is allowed during the fast. After sunset one can enjoy these things. During this month Muslims practice self-control and focus on prayers and devotion.

5. The #Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca: It is an obligation once in a lifetime for those who are physically and financially able to perform it. It is the most intense spiritual experience for a Muslim. Typically, 2-3 million perform hajj every year.

#Islam does not call upon Muslims to merely perform these acts of worship; rather, it wants of them to purify their souls. Allah says regarding Prayer: “Indeed, the prayer prevents from immorality and sin.” [29:45].

📃 These articles of faith form the foundation of Islamic belief system.

1.  Belief in One God: The most important teaching of Islam is that only God is to be served and worshipped.  Also, the biggest sin in Islam is to worship other beings with God. 

2.  Belief in Angels: The true Muslim believes that God created the angels, they are different creations who are in the worship of God always and they don’t disobey him. The angels surround us at all times, each has a duty; some record our words and deeds.

3. Belief in Revealed Books of God: Muslims believe that God revealed His wisdom and instructions through ‘books’ to some of the prophets like the Psalms, Torah, and the Gospel.  Over time, however, the original teachings of these books got distorted or lost.  Muslims believe the Quran is God’s final revelation revealed to Prophet Muhammad and has been fully preserved.

4. Belief in Prophets of God: Muslims believe that God communicates His guidance through human prophets sent to every nation.  These prophets start with Adam and include Noah, Abraham, Moses, #Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them.  The main message of all the prophets has always been that there is only One true God and He alone is worthy of being supplicated to and worshipped.

5. Belief in Day of Judgment: The life of this world and all that is in it will come to an end on an appointed day.  At that time, every person will be raised from the dead.  God will judge each person individually, according to his faith and his good and bad actions.  #God will show mercy and fairness in judgment.  According to Islamic teachings, those who believe in God and perform good deeds will be eternally rewarded in Heaven.  Those who reject faith in God will be eternally punished in the fire of Hell.

6. Belief in Destiny and Divine Decree: Muslims believe that since God is the Sustainer of all life, nothing happens except by His Will and with His full knowledge.  This belief does not contradict the idea of free will.  God does not force us, our choices are known to God beforehand because His knowledge  is complete.  we believe that whatever happens to us unwillingly is made for wisdom and it's part of the test and that we should be patient and succeed in it.

{13} لما ذكر دعوة الرسل لقومهم ودوامهم على ذلك وعدم مللهم؛ ذكر منتهى ما وصلت بهم الحال مع قومهم،فقال: {وقال الذين كفروا لرسلهم}: متوعِّدين لهم: {لَنُخْرِجَنَّكم من أرضِنا أو لَتعودُنَّ في مِلَّتنا}: وهذا أبلغ ما يكون من الردِّ، وليس بعد هذا فيهم مطمع؛ لأنَّه ما كفاهم أن أعرضوا عن الهدى، بل توعَّدوهم بالإخراج من ديارهم، ونسبوها إلى أنفسهم، وزعموا أنَّ الرسل لا حقَّ لهم فيها، وهذا من أعظم الظُّلم؛ فإنَّ الله أخرج عباده إلى الأرض، وأمرهم بعبادته، وسخَّر لهم الأرض وما عليها يستعينون بها على عبادته؛ فمن استعان بذلك على عبادة الله؛ حلَّ له ذلك وخرج من التَّبِعة، ومن استعان بذلك على الكفر وأنواع المعاصي؛ لم يكن ذلك خالصاً له ولم يحلَّ له، فعلم أن أعداء الرسل في الحقيقة ليس لهم شيء من الأرض التي تَوَعَّدوا الرسل بإخراجهم منها. وإن رجَعْنا إلى مجرَّد العادة؛ فإنَّ الرسل من جملة أهل بلادهم وأفراد منهم؛ فلأيِّ شيء يمنعونهم حقًّا لهم صريحاً واضحاً؟! هل هذا إلا من عدم الدين والمروءة بالكلية؟! ولهذا لما انتهى مكرهم بالرسل إلى هذه الحال؛ ما بقي حينئذٍ إلاَّ أن يُمضي الله أمره وينصر أولياءه. {فأوحى إليهم ربُّهم لَنُهْلِكَنَّ الظالمين}: بأنواع العقوبات.

{14} {ولَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ الأرض من بعدهم ذلك}؛ أي:العاقبة الحسنة التي جعلها الله للرسل ومَنْ تَبِعَهم جزاء، {لِمَنْ خاف مقامي}: عليه في الدنيا، وراقب الله مراقبة من يعلم أنه يراه، {وخاف وعيدِ}؛ أي: ما توعَّدت به مَنْ عصاني؛ فأوجب له ذلك الانكفاف عمَّا يكرهُهُ الله والمبادرة إلى ما يحبُّه الله.

{15} {واستفتحوا}؛ أي: الكفار؛ أي: هم الذين طلبوا واستعجلوا فَتْحَ الله وفرقانَهُ بين أوليائه وأعدائه، فجاءهم ما استفتحوا به، وإلاَّ؛ فالله حليمٌ، لا يعاجِل من عصاه بالعقوبة. {وخاب كلُّ جبارٍ عنيدٍ}؛ أي: خسر في الدنيا والآخرة من تجبَّر على الله وعلى الحقِّ وعلى عباد الله، [واستكبر] في الأرض، وعاند الرسل، وشاقَّهم.

{16} {من ورائه جهنَّمُ}؛ أي: جهنَّم لهذا الجبار العنيد بالمرصاد؛ فلا بدَّ له من ورودها، فيذاق حينئذٍ العذاب الشديد. {ويُسْقى من ماءٍ صديدٍ}: في لونه وطعمه ورائحته الخبيثة، وهو في غاية الحرارة.

{17} {يَتَجَرَّعُه}: من العطش الشديد، {ولا يكادُ يُسيغُهُ}: فإنه إذا قرب إلى وجهه؛ شواه، وإذا وصل إلى بطنه؛ قطع ما أتى عليه من الأمعاء، {ويأتيه الموتُ من كلِّ مكان وما هو بميِّتٍ}؛ أي: يأتيه العذاب الشديد من كلِّ نوع من أنواع العذاب، وكلُّ نوع منه من شدَّته يبلغ إلى الموت، ولكنَّ الله قضى أن لا يموتوا؛ كما قال تعالى: {لا يُقْضى عليهم فيموتوا ولا يُخَفَّفُ عنهم من عذابها كذلك نَجْزي كلَّ كفورٍ}. وهم يصطرخون فيها، {ومن ورائِه}؛ أي: الجبار العنيد {عذابٌ غليظٌ}؛ أي: قويٌّ شديدٌ لا يعلم بوصفه وشدَّته إلا الله تعالى.

{18} يخبِّر تعالى عن أعمال الكفار التي عملوها: إما أن المراد بها الأعمال التي عملوها لله بأنَّها في ذَهابها وبطلانها واضمحلالها كاضمحلال الرماد الذي هو أدقُّ الأشياء وأخفها إذا اشتدَّت به الريح في يوم عاصف شديد الهبوب؛ فإنَّه لا يُبقي منه شيئاً ولا يُقْدَرُ منه على شيء يذهب ويضمحلُّ؛ فكذلك أعمال الكفار، {لا يقدِرونَ ممَّا كسبوا على شيء}، ولا على مثقال ذرَّة منه؛ لأنَّه مبنيٌّ على الكفر والتكذيب. {ذلك هو الضلال البعيد}: حيث بَطَلَ سعيُهم واضمحلَّ عملُهم. وإمَّا أنَّ المراد بذلك أعمال الكفار التي عملوها لِيَكيدوا بها الحقَّ؛ فإنَّهم يسعون ويكدحون في ذلك، ومكرهم عائدٌ عليهم، ولن يضرُّوا الله ورسله وجنده وما معهم من الحقِّ شيئاً.

{19} ينبِّه تعالى عباده بأنّه {خَلَقَ السمواتِ والأرض بالحقِّ}؛ أي: ليعبده الخلق ويعرفوه ويأمرهم وينهاهم، وليستدلوا بهما وما فيهما على ما له من صفات الكمال، وليعلموا أنَّ الذي خَلَقَ السماوات والأرض ـ على عظمهما وسعتهما ـ قادرٌ على أن يعيدَهم خلقاً جديداً؛ ليجازِيَهم بإحسانهم وإساءتهم، وأنَّ قدرته ومشيئته لا تَقْصُرُ عن ذلك.ولهذا قال: {إنْ يَشَأ يُذْهِبْكم ويأتِ بخَلْقٍ جديدٍ}: يُحتمل أنَّ المعنى: إنْ يشأ يُذهبكم ويأت بقوم غيركم يكونون أطوعَ لله منكم. ويُحتمل أنَّ المراد: إنْ يشأ يُفْنيكم ثم يعيدهم بالبعث خلقاً جديداً. ويدلُّ على هذا الاحتمال ما ذكره بعده من أحوال القيامة.

{20} {وما ذلك على الله بعزيزٍ}؛ أي: بممتنع، بل هو سهلٌ عليه جدًّا، {ما خَلْقُكُم ولا بَعْثُكم إلا كنفس واحدةٍ وهو الذي يبدأ الخَلْق ثم يعيدُه وهو أهونُ عليه}.
