Thailand’s military actions constitute a clear act of armed aggression and a serious violation of the United Nations Charter. The use of force against Cambodia’s sovereignty, coupled with attacks that have affected civilians and civilian infrastructure, is unacceptable under international law and international humanitarian law. As a nation of Cambodian compatriots, united in one spirit and one voice, we affirm that Cambodia needs peace. With pure hearts and sincere intentions, we convey this message to the world.
In a spirit of hope, confidence, and national unity, the Cambodian people from diverse backgrounds, all political tendencies, and all religions have come together in solidarity. United as one nation, we convene the “March for Peace,” from the Riverside Night Market to the Independence Monument.
Cambodian people value peace and seek peaceful coexistence with all nations. From the depth of our hearts, we convey our nation’s message of peace to the international community that Cambodia does not wish to see destruction, devastation, or loss of life under any circumstances.
Sincere appreciation for the spirit of participation, which greatly encourages the Royal Government in its efforts to safeguard peace for the nation and the Cambodian people. Heartfelt thanks to the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia for organizing this march, providing our compatriots with an opportunity to come together and express their shared aspiration for peace.

The number of civilians killed by Thai attacks has risen to 12 after another citizen was killed on December 14, and the number of injured has reached at least 75, including 15 new injuries as of 6pm. Concurrently, the number of displaced peoples has increased to over 400,000.

Just hours after talks with US President Donald Trump, Thai forces used American-made F-16 fighter jets to bomb Cambodian civilian infrastructure. Civilian bridges were destroyed, shelling spread into Koh Kong province, and additional tens of thousands of innocent civilians were forced to flee for their lives. Thai F16 fighter jets continue to bomb Cambodian homes, civilians, temples, schools and hospitals 12/12/2025
Thai Navy fire was reported in Koh Kong province in the early hours of December 13, prompting residents to flee their homes overnight.
Local residents say shelling occurred between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m., with people evacuating in the dark after hearing fire nearby. Families left quickly amid fear and confusion.

The Thai armed aggression has caused serious damage. As of December 10, 2025, the toll includes 10 civilian fatalities (including one infant) and 60 civilian injuries.
In this sense, Cambodia calls on the international community to strongly condemn Thailand's violations of the Joint Declaration and its repeated war crime and unlawful activities, as well as demands that Thailand take full responsibility for such brazen violations.
Cambodia urges that Thailand immediately stop all hostile activities and withdraw its forces from Cambodia's territorial integrity, and avoid acts of aggression that threaten peace and stability in the region. At the same time, we call on the Thai side to firmly honour the Ceasefire Agreement, the Joint Declaration, as well as the obligations under international law with sincerity, in good faith and goodwill.

Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts solemnly condemns the destructive attacks carried out by the Thai military against Ta Krabey Temple, a sacred cultural site of Cambodia. This reprehensible act reflects profound immorality and demonstrates a blatant disregard for culture, civilization, and the sacred heritage that forms part of the shared legacy of humanity, especially the priceless cultural patrimony built and preserved by Khmer ancestors.
“The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts calls upon all national and international bodies, particularly UNESCO, the ASEAN community, relevant institutions, organizations, associations, and all individuals dedicated to the protection of humanity’s heritage, to unequivocally condemn these actions and to urge the Thai military to immediately cease all acts of destruction. National and international intervention is urgently required, as the Thai military has continued indiscriminate attacks on multiple locations, including both civilian areas and heritage sites. Notably, on 8 December 2025, the Temple of Preah Vihear also sustained damage, resulting in the total destruction of conservation facilities under the Cambodia–India joint conservation project, along with other temple structures,” according to the statement seen by Fresh News on Tuesday (Dec. 9).
“The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts will employ all available mechanisms, both national and international, to ensure that Thailand is held accountable under applicable international law for these immoral acts and to ensure that these destructive actions are duly recorded in the historical record of humanity.”
Preliminary information: As of 11:00 noon on this December 8, 2025, in Oddar Meanchey province, 3 innocent civilians (1 female) have been injured by an attack from Thai military forces and are currently being rescued by medical teams.

It has been 108 days since 18 Cambodian soldiers were captured under the captivity of the Thai military. Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to release them as soon as possible, so that they may be safely reunited with their families in accordance with international humanitarian law.
It must also be underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been and will continue to make tireless efforts, using all available mechanisms for Thai military to release and return our 18 soldiers as quickly and safely as possible.
The Royal Government and the Ministry of National Defence, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces will never abandon any of our troops under any circumstances.

Thai soldiers have opened fire on civilians in Banteay Meanchey province’s Prey Chan village. Five civilians were injured, according to preliminary information from local authorities.
