On 16 March 2020 the UK's venues closed.

A year later, our industry is still shut down.

To mark a year without live performance Equity is holding a rally to launch #TheShowCantGoOn – our campaign for a basic income guarantee for creative workers.

@beccachadder Sounds good! What is the fee?

[TheatreForge @TheatreForge]

@silent_cordelia Check out Equity Fringe agreement of your doing fringe! You get to pay people by the hour and they get holiday pay and sickleave etc. Its a good way to start when you can't afford the subsidised theatre (itc) rates yet. And it's legal!! (unlike profit share)

[TheatreForge @TheatreForge]

Yes, please! Thank you for the work you've already done! Can you do some work around offensive language in castings and in rejections? Thank you! 🙏🏽

Happy #InternationalWomensDay! Today we're celebrating Equity's women and girls – more than 52% of our membership 💪

This year let's #ChooseToChallenge the barriers facing women in our industry, and make the performing arts inclusive, accessible and equitable for all.

The new #PiPACovidReport is a sobering read. Support is urgently needed to prevent a haemorrhage of female talent in the performing arts.

Equity echoes @PiPAinfo's call for flexible working, job shares, furlough & revised SEISS eligibility criteria.

This little dog was found in St Donats Has a wound on its back where chip has been removed. Think it was abandoned after being stolen and realising it was older than they thought. Please circulate in case anyone recognises it. Could have been taken from anywhere in the country
