Matchbox Theatre Company is dedicated to workshopping and producing original works created by BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women playwrights.

We aim to amplify voices often overlooked in this industry, while keeping our productions accessible and affordable.

Matchbox really blossomed during the pandemic and we learned so much through the process of virtual productions.

While some elements will remain virtual, we are aiming to workshop and produce original works for in person performances for our 2024-2025 season.

A portion of all ticket sales go to Elevated Access- this is an organization that, thanks to volunteer pilots, will fly people in need of abortions and gender-affirming care for free to safe states for those procedures.
