That should get people’s attention.

When the next generation starts looking elsewhere, it says a lot about where things are heading. And it’s not just one issue. Businesses are relocating, some colleges are struggling or closing, hospitals are under pressure, and there are ongoing concerns about where federal funding is going.

All of this adds up.

Massachusetts used to be a place people come to build a future. More and more, it feels like people are being pushed to find that future somewhere else.

This isn’t something that fixes itself. It’s something that needs to be taken seriously before more people make the decision to leave.
