But on the flip side, comments like these are blaspheming God. Nowhere in the Bible does God tells us to use the government to improve morality. To me that is worse.

Pharisees used the Government when they felt that Jesus was blaspheming God. 1 Samuel 8:7 God says “They are rejecting Me as king over them” by choosing a civil government. We are to look to Him and trust Him. Our focus should be The Great Commission.
