Here's what I think the Argos depth chart will look like following yesterday's cutdown. It includes players who will start the season on the injured list, but does not include practice roster players. #Argos#CFL
@WillockDonald What are you on about? TSN streaming isn’t available outside of Canada. This deal with DAZN opens it up internationally and provides players, teams and staff more financial opportunities then they’ve ever seen before.
The CFL is growing, changing with the times and leaning into the streaming world like every other sports league has.
Yet, Grandpa Joe will find a reason to complain about streaming despite already paying for Netflix, Disney, Prime, Crave, Apple etc etc.

@RGopher69@BrandonMaki_ Definitely not “most” games. Most people with basic cable get their local market game, the “national” 4:25pm game and MAYBE one more. Then there’s SNF and MNF. So 4 or 5 out of 16 games a week are readily accessible.
The rest you have to pay for through other services.
It’s honestly discouraging to see how many people are upset about today’s deal and generally all the changes overall that have been made by the league, it’s a slam dunk to me
Maybe it’s because I’m a younger presence in the CFL space, but I have been pretty onboard with everything Stew has done to grow the game
Amongst people my age who didn’t have interest in the league before all of this have definitely expressed more interest than ever before

@RGopher69@BrandonMaki_ That is not true at all. In America you need the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch games that are out of market. Not to mention they put games on Netflix, Amazon Prime and the NFL Network.
@grnrider@ByJoshLewis That is the unfortunate side of this deal. Having it be more expensive or not possible for people to watch. But it is where the sports world is headed. Meaning streaming services. CFL is smart to follow suit, teams and players will see the benefits financially.
@jungleg62135331 lol the people I’m talking about are the 30-55 range that are the “old man yells at cloud” meme. I can definitely get the frustration from the older fanbase. But reality is CFL NEEDS to grow and “get with the times” so to speak. Relying strictly on TSN ain’t it anymore.
@CrankyOiler_fan No one is being forced to buy DAZN. And I’m sure, like there are with other services, deals that will come with it.
Moves like this are not made to keep just the current viewers in place which is already dwindling, It’s to obtain more across Canada, and other countries.
Hearing the #CFL new six-year broadcast agreement, everything combined, is worth about $500 million. That's very very significant. Not only does the deal continue the league's longstanding partnership with Bell Media but adds DAZN and YouTube as partners. Solid deal all around.
