I wanted to share some tips for Halloween: The Game. Keep in mind, these are from my personal play style and strategy. You may want to go a completely different route:

🖤 Get Lynda Van Der Kolok to ten sooner rather than later. The reason is, one of your biggest defenses against being grabbed by Michael are: Butterfly Knives, Pocket Knives, and Ice Picks. Instead of having to do the usual, longer A and D struggle, you get to do a very quick X struggle and stab him. If you're fast enough, you can even pull it off before his full stalk can kill you because keep in mind- he has a number skill check he has to do. When you get Lynda to ten, you can equip your preferred
Civilian with a starter Pocket Knife which makes you safer.

💜That being said, try your best to always have one of those items- not only on you, but selected in your inventory. You will thank me later.

🖤When going into a house with a resident or Special target, talk to them first and tell them to hide if there isn't an exit opened. I know that it's tempting to have them follow you, but more often than not- you're just going to make it easier for Michael to kill them because they will be out in the open with you. If they hide, there is a higher chance that they will survive until an exit is opened. Yes, Michael can still find them, but a lot of times- he doesn't find them and I am able to get them out when the time comes- which is your goal. After you have the resident secured, then call the police. That gets it out of the way if Michael shows up and you have to get out of dodge. Then...loot.

💜If a team mate dies- head to the CB Radio. This will allow them to spawn back in as the Detective. If you die, play the mini games until you can spawn back in as a police officer. This supports the Civilians still alive because you can earn them more perk cards.

🖤Your goal as the Detective/Police Officer is to help the remaining residents escape as well as your team. If you want, you can try to arrest Michael, but I've yet to see anyone pull it off- despite everyone trying.

💜 Is Michael after you? Break line of site as often as you can to prevent stalk build up. Manage your stamina in the light. What I mean is, if you're getting low on stamina- run into a light source and stand still to regain it. Then keep running. Even if you only recover a little bit, it can be enough to get you to the next light source. Run into buildings through one door, lock it and run out the next door. IT doesn't stop him but it slows him down. If he gets close to you, it's pretty easy to juke him. If you dodge, he will miss. Then RUNNNNNNN! lol

🖤When you're in a building, turn every single light on- including lamps. Are you going into a room? Turn the light on. Are you searching a desk or table with a lamp on it? Turn the light on first, then search. This prevents him from Shape Jumping into the house with you. If he turns the power off, use that as an opportunity to get out of the house and into the nearest light source.

💜Your goal isn't just to escape. It's to rescue the town and yourselves......plural- your team. Not just yourself.

Finding Civilians:

I’m still seeing people confused and not knowing how to find the npcs or their types. When you look at the map:

Yellow aura = special targets

Blue aura = regular civilians

PRIORITIZE YELLOW. Myers will beeline it for them at match start, so save them ASAP!
