@sakebu_cheese_ Hey, looks better than my handwriting lol. But I'm not the best writer. That said, I could read it. Also, I notice a lot of Japanese people on Twitter use brothers. It's correct, but it would be more accurate to say bros, since that's the casual way to shorten the word brothers.
@chromostereo@japan_nobunaga "The rest of the west." I find it hilarious we love and respect Japan, we consider it part of "The West" even though they're grouped with the other Oriental cultures. Note: I use the term Oriental because it literally means "Eastern". For those curious, Occidental means Western.
@Crater_Bob@KyoryuDiabolos@NamikaVT@elonmusk From what I read, Bluesky was actually a Twitter development group started by Jack Dorsey. They actually broke off a little before Elon bought Twitter, but weren't really doing anything until Elon bought Twitter. Don't remember where I read it, though, so could be very wrong.
@ShamashAran I don't remember exactly how it goes, but it reminds me of the thought experiment where it's something like there's a choice between a flagrant racist (Woodrow Wilson), a horrid womanizer (Winston Churchill) and a poor, failed artist who's a vegetarian (Adolf Hitler)
@DanPitzer@MadamSavvy Yeah, as a Christian who's fallen down the libertarian rabbit hole, my personal belief is yes, pornographic material is sinful and obscene. No, that does not mean it should be banned. It's my job as a Christian to avoid said material, not society's job to keep it from me.
@tetsuya_00x Because New York is very Leftist, politically speaking, and so Mamdani ran not as a Muslim, but as a Leftist. So, he pandered to the leftists in the city, and that got him the win. Though after that, he did use him being a Muslim to shut down any criticism of him.
@SlientProtag@not__vee@irthyfour68495 "What is normally derived from good intentions" reminds me of the old saying: "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." And also the CS Lewis quote that's too long for Twitter, but basically says Evil tyrants sleep, but moral busybodies torture with conscience in tact.
@MauriceMur4768@BROKENBRITAIN0 That last line in your post reminds me of the old Benjamin Franklin adage: Those who would trade Freedom for Security deserve neither and will lose both.
@anonymo37214906@the_addressor@Asmongold@thechromeqt Why would he when the wall of text literally says men perform mental tasks like math calculations under stress better than women, AND that men have a 30-75% faster reaction time. Text is agreeing with you that it's denying biology to say women compete at the same level as men.
@Reopanottokage Yes, it would be better to create their own characters. The problem is many of the people who do this aren't creative or talented enough to create their own compelling, unique characters, so they just take an existing character and race/gender swap them to feel good.
@NagelNilson@grok@KatieMiller@elonmusk According to Grok, he donated 55 million to St. Jude's through his own charity foundation. Besides that, most of the contributions where amounts are listed are 10 million or below: https://t.co/2eNxpcDl7S
@Wasteland_Memes@Sargon_of_Akkad No fun allowed. Alcohol: banned because it's a toxic substance. Sex: banned for STD. Gaming: banned for addiction. Socializing with the wrong people is banned because it's harmful. Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would trade freedom for security deserve neither and will lose both."
@RockChartrand@DarrigoMelanie But Rock! You gotta remember that the government provides necessary services in order to make it easier to live in return for you paying them to live in their country. Wait, that sounds familiar...remind me how most of these people think about landlords.
@pika_nekopanda So, not sure if you would consider them celebrities, but the first two famous people that came to mind were Akira. Akira Toriyama and Akira Kurosawa.
@echofoxylover@MadamSavvy Glad to hear you joined the cause, and happy to have you, friend. Yeah, the left seems to have a penchant for being the most horrid, vile bigots when someone "leaves their plantation." Look at awful things said about Ben Carson (black), Blair White (trans), etc (char limit).
@G0ffThew Let me make this nice and simple for you:
"I don't like [insert content]. I find it reprehensible. I will not watch it." Perfectly fine.
"I don't like [insert content]. I find it reprehensible. It needs to be banned." Not OK because you remove it from people who do like it
@ignor3th1s@HeroicLife@yhdistyminen Not areas, no. Free speech means you have the right to speak no matter where you are. You do NOT have the right to force others to amplify your voice (hence the mic analogy).
@Bouyantflames@DAKKADAKKA1 "He only ensures dwarves aren't put aside anymore" Yes, by complaining that it's offensive for dwarves to play fantasy dwarves, thus literally forcing the industry to put the dwarves aside and not give them work. Is it painful being so ignorant?
