@susylicious2023 He wants to feel depended on and needed. That’s why he over tightens cause he knows she needs him to open them. This all makes him feel like a man because I’m assuming she’s probably very independent in all other aspects of life
This scene breaks my heart because Shane had no idea Ilya was already planning on ending things between them. Right when Shane finally allowed himself to think of Ilya as someone he could be with even if it was in secret.
No like he’s actually brilliant. Even things you think won’t translate well like the hole/peg line. He left it in surprisingly and it works beautifully well
jacob tierney has such a good sense for which lines to keep from the book and when to rework the dialogue instead. like shane apologizing for running away is so correct and i also dont think the "they can see us" thing would have translated well to the screen
