Pay attention to the conservative/republican reaction to this. A Mayor is doing his job protecting the rights and welfare of the people and the Republican voter base hates it.

So ask yourself, do you want to vote along with a base that does not want elected leaders to protect the citizens. Do you want elected officials that allows corporate to treat the people unfairly, poorly and simply abuse the people?
