Wealth creation should not depend on hoarding land, flipping homes or extracting ever-increasing rents. We need economic models that reward innovation and production, not scarcity.
We have normalised treating shelter as an investment before treating it as a right. That's a major reason housing is becoming unaffordable for young people.
My advice to young professionals - make sure you invest in real estate - even if you start with a well located piece of land or a studio apt. Use NHT benefits to get a piece of Jamaica. ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ผ
@STEFisDOPE@Trouble_876D "It's not that deep". Let's ignore history, economic models and just say people are lazy and unserious.
Cya bother with intellectually lazy responses like these kmt.
I have a theory , the reason Jamaica public services like healthcare is so bad is because those that are in charge have a vested interest in private services , so they canโt allow public services to be viable or they will be out of business
@shadyoakdrive@itsbritni_bish That is precisely why people are questioning the governance structure and boundaries of authority. You cannot argue operational distance while simultaneously exercising operational influence when it matters most!!!!
@shadyoakdrive@itsbritni_bish Interesting. If the Minister is supposedly โ4th in lineโ to the daily running of the hospital, then why was he seemingly first in line when it came to overturning a board decision regarding the CEO position?
@Claudine_bless@jayjaybrown97 Same rat race trap found in jamaica because it's same experience in Jamaica excluding the snow/cold part.
It's clear her major concern is about capitalism.
