Why do you continue to misrepresent the facts, @Caro_Zalt? Your statement appears to be based on cherry-picked information that stigmatizes the Chinese gay community. Why is there such a contrast between your polite tone on X and the aggression you've shown on Chinese social media? This contradicts the very values you claim to uphold.
You also conveniently omitted a lot of context. The "female player" you mentioned had posted numerous insulting remarks—body shaming, bottom shaming, and social status shaming—against gay men. These comments appeared directly in your own community, yet you never once moderated this hate speech. By failing to balance the discourse in an environment where LGBTQ+ voices are already marginalized, you’ve effectively fueled the hostility. This is why many former fans feel you are enabling one group to attack another.
The truth is, no gay player has ever reported you or your game to the government. This "threat" existed only in a single vent post with fewer than 10 likes on Baidu Tieba. Within 24 hours, your own fans contacted the poster to have it removed to protect you from unwanted scrutiny. Most fans have been actively trying to lower the heat to keep you and your game safe. To use a single, isolated emotional post to claim you are under "threat" while ignoring the community's efforts to protect you is irresponsible.
Then there is the issue of your identity. No one initially brought up your bisexual status or your marriage. It was only after you claimed to be "more qualified to represent the community" due to your 10-year same-sex marriage that it became an issue. For those living in a country where same-sex marriage is not legal, such a statement is incredibly hurtful. It carries a level of arrogance and prejudice that you seem to be unaware of.
It's clear you don't just block hate speech; you silence anyone who points out your double standards. Many fans were blocked simply for requesting moderation of homophobic insults or asking for clarification on past controversies. I was blocked myself immediately after posting two comments. You are using your administrative power to erase dissent and labeling it "self-protection."
As a former fan, I sincerely hope you will engage in direct and honest communication with your Chinese followers. I believe much of this stems from a lack of communication rather than malice. If you are open to rational dialogue, please unblock me.
