Thomas Massie is going NUCLEAR on Trump’s regime change war in Venezuela.
“How did it work out in Cuba, Libya, Iraq, or Syria?”
“Do we want another Afghanistan in the Western Hemisphere?”
“This is about oil and regime change.”
“Previous presidents told us to go to war over WMDs, weapons of mass destruction, that did not exist.”
“Now it’s the same playbook, except we’re told that drugs are the WMDs.”
“James Madison warned us that in no part of the Constitution is more wisdom to be found than in the clause which confides the question of war and peace to the legislature—not the executive.”
“The framers understood a simple truth: to the extent that war-making power devolves to one person, liberty dissolves.”
“By escalating toward war, we would predictably create countless refugees.”
“Are we prepared to receive swarms of the 25 million Venezuelans who will likely become refugees?”

The surveillance state isn’t less bad because YOUR “team” wants it. Grow up
Charlie was a man who valued honest discussion, and open debate over violence.
He advocated for the peaceful battle of ideas, and talked about fearing what happens when people reject peaceful discourse.
And you fucking shot him.
.@realDonaldTrump Your Iran strategy has been ill-advised and short-sighted. Change course now. Return to the Iran nuclear agreement before it’s too late. Put aside your pride and political calculations for the good of our country. Do the right thing. https://t.co/WBog6kPLE6
Can a Trump supporter please explain to me like I'm five years old, how Trump enlisting Palantir to create a master database for every single American 'Makes America Great Again'?
Thomas is absolutely right. This situation is insane. Republicans could stop wasteful or fraudulent USAID funding right now, but instead they’re simply going to fund it all again NEXT WEEK and hope you don’t notice or don’t care.
Thankful to live in the United States, where we have a culture that values free expression, a First Amendment that secures our rights, and a judiciary that broadly upholds those rights.
The Germans have it backward. The real danger to the public is a government that scares and intimidates everyone through censorship—with the authority to punish or imprison those who challenge the preferred views of the state.
This anti-freedom orthodoxy must not be ignored. Free speech - a bedrock principle of democracy and a free society - is not a floating idea but instead the foundation of America. If we allow this insanity to infect us, America is done. Anyone who celebrates this censorship is a danger to all.
