I've never heard of a university department being so ashamed of its people that it hides all their names so people can't google them to see what they've written.

Cambridge started its Education school in 2002 or so. I expect people told them then that a school of education would be bad for Cambridge's reputation, but some administrator thought it would bring in money.

Catholic nuns in New York have devoted their lives to caring for poor people dying of cancer, completely FREE of charge.

They don't take government money. They don't take insurance. They simply serve the dying with dignity and love.

And how does New York thank them?

By threatening fines, the loss of their license, and even imprisonment because they refuse to abandon their Catholic faith and pretend that men can become women.

These sisters are doing more for the vulnerable than these bureaucrats ever will.

Leave the nuns alone.

They’ve appointed Farah Ahmed as Assistant Professor of Education — a woman who called Western education a “threat” to Muslims, democracy a “corrupt tradition,” and literacy plus qualifications un-Islamic. She attacked English literature as damaging, condemned treating Islam as just one religion among others, and criticised schools for teaching that child marriage is wrong.😑

❌ Little substance — mostly nonsense
❌ Music & film clips instead of lectures
❌ Arrived late, left early
❌ Almost zero academic theory
❌ Obsessive focus on race
❌ Useless notes and feedback

Her reaction when the scandal broke was “Finally!”
Her real surprise? That it hadn’t come out sooner.

The true problem wasn’t Arday.

What makes the Jason Arday story even worse is that when questions were raised about his CV and plagiarism allegations, the police actually investigated a journalist who was looking into them.

Think about that.

A journalist investigating serious questions about a professor’s credentials ends up being investigated by the police.

The further you look into this story, the more incredible it gets.

This is potentially one of the worst diversity hires of all time.

🚨NEW: KC Anu Mohindru has been allowed to continue being a barrister despite falsely claiming that he studied medicine at Oxford University and for claiming that he was a qualified doctor.

He also claimed that he had played cricket for the Bar, for Lashings Cricket Club and for MCC, and that he was a cricketing blue having represented Oxford in a varsity match against Cambridge.

A tribunal disbarred him for telling his 23 Essex Street interviewers a “reckless, foolish and completely unnecessary lie” about studying at Oxford, and because he “doubled down" on his CV.

On appeal at the High Court, Mr Justice Johnson overturned  Mohindru's expulsion, stating that it "would be wrong to impose the ultimate sanction merely because dishonesty is present".

Prof Jason Arday called the police on a fellow academic and a journalist who were investigating discrepancies in his academic and charitable record.

Devon and Cornwall Police declined to investigate Prof David Harris after he sent Prof Arday a series of legitimate questions about inconsistencies in his record via email. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police investigated a harassment allegation against Times Higher Education journalist Jack Grove for doing his job.

The Met went on to advise Mr Grove not to contact Prof Arday again because it was affecting the professor’s mental health.

This is the same force that sent five armed police officers to arrest Irish comedian Graham Linehan as his plane landed at Heathrow over three gender-critical posts on X.

It is not good enough for Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley simply to say his force “dropped the ball” in this case. It happens too often.

Jason Arday sought to use the police as a tool to silence those who were investigating his record.
