Israel killed this child before my eyes. He was selling coffee to support his family, carrying the burden of life before he had even known what childhood truly was. Then an explosion struck nearby, and he was wounded in the head. He ran a few steps, clinging to life, before collapsing to the ground along with forty other victims

I survived only to capture this photograph with my phone not for any reason other than to bear witness and show the world what my eyes had seen. Since that day, this scene has never left my memory. A photograph I can never forget, and a memory forever burdened by the lives that were lost before us and will never return
