@BCBCouch My first thought when they drafted Josh Cameron was that he’s a PW contingency plan. Stout WR with physical ball skills who is also an excellent return specialist. Sound familiar? I think PW will hit free agency regardless of his stats in 2026.
@BobbyMilone29 Schuemann bats righty and Jones bats lefty. With Grisham back, they think they don’t need the lefty. That is ALL this regime cares about.
@ItsIanDee@Verysimpleidea I agree, that’s the only reason I haven’t soured on their approach yet. If we get through the season healthy and still have the same questions, the position(s) need to be addressed.
@ItsIanDee My biggest fear with this front office is that they seem content with the pass rush and hope that better coverage will be the difference. I know pass rushers don’t grow on trees, especially at DT, but go watch the last several Super Bowls and tell me what won those games.
@ItsIanDee Agreed. I think they’ve drafted replacements for Cleveland (Milum, Pregnon) and Hamilton (Regis) so I can’t see them back. Agreed wholeheartedly with Ventrell, I just think they’ve drafted so many LB that they don’t mind losing him. More big money needs elsewhere
@md_1010xl@1010XL@1010xlfattony@RHasNoJ 1. Either of JHA/Travon. Saw that last year
2. Armstead. Already thin there, saw that last year
3. Travis Hunter — need that shutdown CB1
4. Parker Washington - dynamic WR skill set
5. Cam Little
@md_1010xl@1010xlfattony They must love Ruke and Ventrell.
Long term, still a small sample size but I worry they will always prioritize the offense. Passing defense was a glaring need. They must have confidence healthy Travon and Armstead will be the difference.
@UncleChaps Gladstone answered a question during free agency by highlighting how they want lots of comp picks next year. This year, in an overall poor draft, was about their type of guys. Next year they will be aggressive and try to get stars (when contracts like Armstead’s are gone)
@BigCatCountry Where is the pass rush?! Is our plan to once again sit in zone coverage and let QBs pick us apart again? Do they really believe 44 and 91 injuries were that significant? Turnovers will regress. Go draft the DT from Oklahoma or Navy and get a speed edge and salvage Day 3
@JStCyrTV Concerning that it feels like offense will be prioritized over the defense when the defense has more glaring holes (pass rush bad last year, Devin Lloyd gone, will be difficult to repeat all the turnovers and short fields)
