I woke up to this video making the rounds where the person recording says that the youth had no option but to wrap the corpse and leave it in the middle of traffic to compel authorities to act after the body remained unattended for three days. This is not the first time.

To state institutions responsible for public safety sanitation and emergency response: this is a direct failure on your part and it strikes at the very heart of human dignity.

To those still busy branding themselves as the “saviours” of this country: this is your legacy in motion. One of the clearest signs of the degeneration of your era in power.

To the opposition, civil society, and religious leaders: this is a reflection of the dark cold society taking shape under your collective watch while you abdicate your moral responsibility to stir conscience and compassion.

And to the passionate supporters who dance defend and rally behind those seeking power ask yourself this: How can anyone who shows such disregard for human life be trusted as an agent for change?
