1. I have applied for immovable propertylease at ekurhuleni since 2024, & everytime I get there they are saying they still waiting for evaluators. The aim was to register a high school in Nigel as there are major shortages of schools around there @mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 13. Only to be failed by our government. And I would also like to. Mention that in our area foreigners have been given(sold) a community hall to run as a church. Because we do not have money to bribe the system, this is what we get. We need help

We had potential funders in 2024 and we have been giving them this report and obviously they have moved on. We have been running as a home schooling centre hoping yearly that next year we will be registered ...

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 11. The registration for school date passed and we tried going back to the #cityofekurhuleni and we haven't been helped. Nothing has been done even after the evaluator has been appointed. They are saying it's one person responsible for the whole city.

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 10.... We are leaving in a South Africa where if you don't have connection, no one can really help, even if you are bringing a solution to a problem. It doesn't matter. I mean, the department doesn't care, they just want all documents, anything extra, they will not do

We also discovered that there are other entities that applied for the same space, and our application ...

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 7. in 2026 Feb , we went to check and also ask for any documentation that we can add as a supporting document to our application, that our space application will be finalized in June, and we can later add whatever documentation required by the department then, we failed.

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 6. In November 2025 we went back to the office again and were told we must come back again in 2026 June, all processes will be finalized. Meaning we will miss the application deadline again in 2026, as it is in April

Like Tintswalo we were born and breed in south Africa, as young people, we want to run a proper business and the city is failing us.

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 4. While waiting we missed the date to submit at the department of education for independent school. In 2025 again we missed the opportunity, we were waiting for ekurhuleni to appoint an evaluator so that the application may be finalized.

@mmodiba10 @City_Ekurhuleni 3. The next stage was that all affected departments within ekurhuleni must agree to the land being leased, and we finally got the recommendation from city planning, saying the space will be appropriate for a school. As we all know there is a shortage in schools.
