Additionally, we plan to host a workshop at TAGGS on using a non-therapeutic game in a therapeutic setting. Ever wonder how to make Pathfinder or monopoly therapeutic but unsure where to start? This seeks to solve that dilemma.
Please DM or comment if you'd like to join us!

The use, combination, and application of safety tools in therapeutic or educational games.

@Lupic0rn That said, The Venture Society and Branch Riders (@TheBodhanaGroup ) are built from the ground up with therapeutic intent in mind. All while being super fun games in their own right, of course.
6 RPGs that we're using to facilitate social skills and other therapeutic goals and 6 great groups/folks who are using TTRPGs to advance some great causes
1) Numenera
2) Orbital Blues
3) Monster of the Week
4) D&D 5e
5) It was THIS big!
6) The Venture Society (fully funded!)
@Lupic0rn For sure! We find that some game mechanics can lend themselves to the therapeutic goals (MotW's "help out" or OB's "Blues") and help clients stay engaged. However, the lion's share comes from our expert therapeutic GMs and closeout questions that relate back to the original goals
Tim and Dr. Quinones had a great time at the APT conference but today is a day for self-care and recuperation. All the juicy details of the conference coming at you this week!
A wild Tim appears at the APT conference! Here we see Tim in his natural habitat, explaining the social dynamics of Meeple Party, a strategic and unpredictable party organizing game by our friends over at @9thLevelGames
It's a great day to be at the Annual Association for Play Therapists International Conference and Exposition! Brian and Tim are out spreading the word about all the good GATE is doing and the wonderful Venture Society (fully funded!) with our friends @9thLevelGames
