After reviewing @LatterDayChadX documents and giving them an independent review this is why these documents can't be treated as proof that Gordon Bowen abused anyone
1. No official body ever found abuse. The whole set contains no conviction, no criminal charge, and no court finding of abuse. When a court did weigh the evidence, it went the other way. It denied the child protective order after a December 2007 hearing, moved Gordon from supervised to unsupervised visits, and by 2009 gave him joint custody. Treating the files as proof means swapping a private archive for the judgment of the one body that actually heard both sides.
2. The record comes from one side of a custody fight. Most of the material was put together by Barbara Bowen or her team: her own timeline, emails to her lawyers, notes from her investigator, and affidavit excerpts she chose. Only a few full, notarized affidavits are included. Material gathered to win a custody case is one-sided by design, and there's no cross-examination or response from Gordon to test it.
3. The neutral experts didn't support the claims. The court's own psychologist found no clinical psychopathology, and her report survives here only through a critique by a psychologist Barbara hired. Child protective services took no further action. When the neutral experts disagree with the paid ones, the paid opinion can't be called proof.
4. Key accounts contradict themselves or each other.
Collin reportedly told the court's psychologist he was "never approached," which conflicts with his later affidavit.
An adult eyewitness says the car the children climbed on was parked, not moving.
A fellow intern says the brothers had their own bedrooms in the New York apartment in 2003.
Barbara's dates for Gordon's career are contradicted by Advertising Age and by her own 1991 letter.
Two documents give different dates for the alleged forged bank signature.
Gordon's reported admissions read differently in Barbara's account, the psychologist's notes, and his deposition.
When the main narrator's checkable details turn out wrong, her uncheckable claims deserve more doubt, not less.
5. Several key claims rest on weak kinds of evidence. Eric's account comes from a memory he recovered in therapy in 2009, which courts and researchers treat with great caution. The children's statements reach us only through their therapist, so they're secondhand. The "tied to a bed" story was denied by the very secretary said to have found him, and no article was ever produced. The "hush money," "bones of dead boys," and "rough sex" items are rumors passed from person to person.
6. Strange behavior isn't abuse. The best-supported items, such as bed-sharing, the escort calls, the firings, and the odd journal entries, may show poor judgment or personal struggles. None of them shows a sexual act against a child. Going from "unusual and troubling" to "pedophile" is a leap the evidence doesn't make.
7. The writings are unproven and taken out of context. The journal quotes are Barbara's selective transcriptions, and the originals aren't in the files. The 11 letter scans are unsigned, so it isn't established who wrote them, and none of them describes an act against anyone.
8. Counting accusers isn't the same as proving them. Several allegations can feel convincing together. But if each one is contradicted, secondhand, or recovered in therapy, stacking them up adds volume, not proof. Many weak claims don't add up to a strong one.
Conclusion: At most, these documents show that serious allegations were made during a bitter divorce. They don't prove the allegations are true, and the official decisions that do exist cut against them.
Claiming these documents as evidence of abuse is bearing false witness, worse is attacking the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and claiming some coverup. I wish latterDayChadX the best and hope he sincerely considers a change.
@LatterDayChadX Do you have a detailed timeline of your evidence? Dates, places, names of the witnesses who can verify this abuse or is this just all accusations from felons and drug users. I think putting together a detailed timeline would be helpful.
@TheEmmapreneur I'm hoping your up to speed on this Bowen case, could you share what you believe is the strongest evidence that he's a pedophile. I've seen a lot of claims, especially from felons but is there any factual timeline or real evidence?
What finished Shane off was his adoption of Rob Warcups teaching of multiple mortal probations, being reborn multiple times with multiple deaths. The BOM clearly teaches one death, one resurrection Alma 11:45 “Now, behold, I have spoken unto you concerning the death of the mortal body, and also concerning the resurrection of the mortal body.
I say unto you that this mortal body is raised to an immortal body, that is from death, even from the first death unto life, that they can die no more; their spirits uniting with their bodies, never to be divided; thus the whole becoming spiritual and immortal, that they can no more see corruption.”
@PattyMurray This post didn't age well now that Zelinsky is bagging for a peace deal. Children always need time to figure it out on their own, glad to see he only needed a few days.
@PattyMurray If Canada and the UK really stand with Ukraine then why are they just now providing cessed Russian assets, and only on loan. Why didn't they provide the funds right away..??
@I_Am_JohnCullen Oh no...... Not coffee. History has shown every time they release a study like this 2-4 years later we find out actually it's killing us. I.E. alcohol
