Your potential should fucking terrify you. Not because it's out of reach. But because it's there for the taking. You've seen glimpses. In the rare moments you actually go all in. And deep down, you know what would happen if you stopped playing small and gave it everything. That's the scary part. Not failure. But the fact that you're capable of so much more. It's like owning a Ferrari and refusing to take it out of first gear. And every day you don't act on it, you feel it. Quietly. Heavily. Like a life you were supposed to live is waiting for you to show up. So show the fuck up.

men need intimacy like women need reassurance. same need, different mechanic. he goes a week untouched and starts acting unhinged; she goes a few days unacknowledged and starts detaching silently. men fall apart without intimacy, women fall apart without consistency. no “gm,” no “home safe?”, no “I got you,” no “we good?”…and you expect softness out of that? be so serious. make her feel wanted and she’ll give her all; make her feel ignored and she’ll disappear like she was never there. reassurance is her pre-game. starve her emotionally and she’ll revoke your whole membership. men want attention, peace, loyalty, touch… but can’t send ONE message? boy, bffr. same need expressed differently. he wants touch, she wants consistency.
my therapist told me this and it hit me: “healing is so hard because it is a constant battle between your inner child who is scared and just wants safety.... your inner teenager who is angry and just wants justice.... and your current self-who is tired and just wants peace."
my therapist taught me to interrupt my anxious thinking with thoughts like: "what if things work out" and "What if all my hard work pays off?" so, i'm passing that onto you wherever you are, whatever you're leaving, or whomever you're becoming.
learn to be alone. eat alone, sleep alone, vibe alone, heal alone. be so confident that you can bloom without opinions and approvals. and if you ever doubt yourself, always remember who you were and how far you've come.
One of the best things my therapist told me was "the reason you dissociate in your towel after you shower, sit in your car after you park, and mindlessly scroll on your phone all night after work is because you're living in a "functional freeze state." Where you can still get things done, but it takes every ounce of your energy to do it. This is why you're constantly exhausted, space out often, and why you can be so social at work but then ignore every text once you get home." If you can relate maybe this account is for you
My therapist made a life changing statement during therapy today.
"You don't have to feel hopeful about the future, it's enough to just be curious about what is coming." I can't even describe how eye-opening that one sentence was.
literally obsessed with people who teach themselves things or invest in random classes. LEARNING IS HOT!!!! take a french cooking class. beginners sewing. adult gymnastics. doing things out of the SPICE of curiosity is HOT!!!!!
My yoga teacher ended class tonite with "You're not afraid of failing, you're afraid of letting other people see you fail. What other people think of you is none of your fucking business" and l felt that shit.
as i get older, i’m starting to realize that the purest form of love is consideration. when someone thinks about how things would make you feel. in any bond how much they care about you is found in how much they consider you.
