Swatting is a real thing. It's a long story, but I got swatted by a alcoholic neighbor who lied to the police. While it wasn't SWAT who came to my door, it was 3 uniformed Fort Worth police officers asking me questions referring to the blatant lies. I ended up taking him to court over it to defend myself and get the accusations dropped, but the city prosecutor did nothing to him for lying to the cops.
