At what point does feeding in Lagos officially become a luxury? ₦13,500 for a kilo of Titus fish?!
The latest Nairametrics food price survey across Mushin, Daleko, Mile 12, and Oyingbo markets shows that food inflation pressure in Lagos is still very real. While June saw a tiny drop in the number of rising items, the spikes on everyday essentials are hit hard:
Traders are pointing to seasonal shortages, rain disruptions, and crazy logistics costs. And while a few items like yellow garri and turkey saw a slight drop, the relief isn’t hitting wallets yet.

@NationalGridNg Serious power crisis in Ojodu Berger/Abiodun axis @IkejaElectric. We are on a Band A feeder but current supply has dropped below 10 hours daily. Why are we still paying premium rates for poor service?
Paying for Band A but receiving Band D service in Ojodu Berger/Abiodun! @IkejaElectric, we are getting less than 10hrs of light daily.
According to @NERCNG rules, if you can’t provide 20hrs+, we shouldn't be on this tariff. Either fix the light or downgrade us. @fccpcnigeria
