Talented Yr 5’s harnessed their artistic side to create digital portraits of their Dad using “SketchesSkool” app. They also generated QR codes that held a special audio message. A treasure that would leave their Dad speechless 🎨🖌️@MercyCollege_WA

Yr4 students worked together to break out of a Digital Escape Room. They used @msonenote to solve mathematical problems, puzzles 🧩 and brain teasers 🧠. The collaboration and persistence shown was exceptional.💡
Primary Technologies Week- Students immersed in exciting design and digital activities showcasing robotics, augmented reality, stop motion and design construction challenges 🎥📱
Our Design Tech highschool teacher discussed the Design Thinking Model with Yr 6’s. Students were set the task to create a lego duck in 40 sec using the same bricks. Each student produced a different design, emphasising the diversity of each. @MercyCollege_WA
Yr 5 explored Augmented Reality on AR Makr to create a range of scenes. It was wonderful to see the creativity and collaboration displayed from each group and the overall excitement when they saw the photos. @MercyCollege_WA
Yr 4’s had a blast programming their own ‘Animal Toss’ game using the Sphero robot. They learnt how to control blocks, comparators and onboard sensors. They are excited to code a ‘Sphero Hot Potato’ game next lesson @MercyCollege_WA@LukeSirolli
Yr 6 used @canva “Talking Presentation” to create a digital retell and prayer reflection of the Stations of the Cross. Each video was linked to a QR code and displayed on a cross around the school for all classes to access. @MercyCollege_WA
Year 6 researched, designed and constructed a chariot using recyclable materials and competed in a chariot race, navigated by the Sphero. @MercyCollege_WA 🏆
Celebrating Harmony Day 2023 🌎 Yr 2’s used Seesaw’s drawing tools to create a design representing the theme ‘everyone belongs’. They also included an audio recording saying “hello” in other languages. #harmonyday
