On December 10, 2025, a Federal High Court in Lokoja ordered INEC to register the NDC as a political party. INEC complied. certificate issued, name in the records, logo (the victory/V-sign) accepted, and the party positioned for the 2027 ballot.

Consequence: INEC must reverse everything done post December 2025, withdraw recognition, pull the certificate, remove NDC from records and any ballot preparations until a fresh hearing with all parties (NDC, INEC, and PMP) properly joined. Status quo ante (pre-December 2025).
