Positive signs for Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton! 🔴 It is understood Hamilton topped Friday's running after posting a test-best 1:16.348 in the Ferrari SF-26 ⚡️
Full lap times have not been published officially all week due to the closed status of the shakedown.
Aston Martin finally gets on track, Mercedes continues to collect miles and McLaren's running was cut short ✅
Here’s what happened on the fourth day of the Barcelona F1 shakedown ⬇️

The buzz in Barça has been surrounding @ScuderiaFerrari's PU 067/76. The steel components of the PU allows the engine to run at higher temps and pressure to generate more power. Steel needs less cooling, smaller cooling holes, meaning less drag and increased straightline speed.
🚨 | Bearman’s return to the track confirms it: a sensor issue triggered the PU’s protection mode.
No problem with the Ferrari power unit!

With all the talk around @ScuderiaFerrari engine reliability, old-spec may have been a good idea. but we the Tifosi always come into test days with the highest of hopes.
...a double push rod layout on the SF-25.. cleaner airflow to the rear; sharper rotation on the corners and much better tire management. On paper, that mostly resolves what drivers complained about. #Scuderiaferrari
🚨 new upgrade to @LewisHamilton SF-25 car. This time, his steering wheel. Adding more analysis data features to his steering wheel. Effective as of this weekend. @Charles_Leclerc has remained with the previous steering wheel.
@ScuderiaFerrari engineering team doing the unusual; teams don’t usually customize steering wheels, at least drastically, to cater to each drivers’ needs. Will this help Lewis? Will it bring short term gains in Japan or is this a small upgrade towards long-term goals?
🚨Updated floor to SF-25 scheduled for Japan GP. It is rumored that these upgrades would resolve many of the issues the rear and general downforce generation, which makes the car struggle in slow speed corners. But whether the upgrades show results at the next race remain the question since Suzuka only has two slow speed corners.
FIA ISSUES REGULATION UPDATE TO CURB “WING-GATE” aka MINI DRS
The rear wing slot gap (aka the mini DRS seen in McLaren’s wing) was regulated at the end of the 2024 season. After the 2025 AUS GP, the FIA implemented more updates to the regukations:
2024: the rear wing slot gap (distance between the main plane and the flap of the rear wing) could not exceed a variance of 2mm when a vertical load of 750 newtons is placed at either extremities.
2025 post Australia GP: reduces the slot gap variance to 0.5 mm when the same vertical load is applied. Exception; China GP where there will be an additional allowance of .25 mm for the short notice regulation update.
